Adrienne Geisler
violin

originally from Indiana, is currently pursuing a Master Degree at Peabody Institute in the studio of Herbert Greenberg.  An avid orchestral musician, she performs as Assistant Concertmaster with the Annapolis Symphony and substitutes with the Baltimore Symphony.  This summer she attended Kent Blossom Music Festival in Ohio where she performed with the Cleveland Orchestra and served as Concertmaster of the Kent Blossom Chamber Orchestra.
 
James Lowe

originally from Omaha, Nebraska, James has studied with Ricardo Iznaola, Hadley Heavin, and Julian Gray. He has a Bachelors degree from The University of Nebraska at Omaha in guitar performance. While at the University of Nebraska at Omaha, he completed a second major in Religion where he specialized in the role of theology in the music of Oliver Messiaen. He was the President of the Omaha Classical Guitar Guild from 2002-2006. In 2007, he was a soloist with The Omaha Symphony and Opera Omaha. James has performed in Colorado, Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., and New York.
 
Alexandra Sia
cello
 
is currently pursuing her master's degree in cello performance with Alan Stepansky at the Peabody Conservatory of Music.  Before moving to Baltimore, Alexandra completed her bachelor's of music at the University of British Columbia in her hometown of Vancouver, Canada.  She has performed with various ensembles at Vancouver's new music festival Sonic Boom, with the Kamloops Symphony Orchestra, and as principal cellist of the National Youth Orchestra of Canada.  She has also participated in summer festivals, including Le Domaine Forget in Quebec and the Beijing International Music Festival and Academy.  In her spare time, Alexandra enjoys basketball and rock climbing
Kyle Bennett

is a Composer from Campbellford, ON, Canada who is currently studying a M.M. in composition at the Peabody Institute, of Johns Hopkins in Baltimore, MD, USA.  Kyle was accepted to the Peabody on full assistantship. After completing his Bachelor of music in acoustic composition at McGill University in Montreal, Quebec in 2002-06, he decided to further explore his musical interests in electronics.  This has led to his a recent work entitled, “Pandora’s Piano Box,” for Pianist/Actor, Disklavier piano, and quadraphonic electronics.  Kyle currently studies with composers Dr. McGregor Boyle and Dr. Geoffrey Wright of the Peabody Institute. www.kylebennett.ca
Rachel Hsieh
cello

hails from Flint, Michigan and is currently pursuing a master's degree in cello performance at the Peabody Conservatory under the tutelage of Alan Stepansky.  Previously, Rachel studied with Erling Blöndal Bengtsson and Richard Aaron at the University of Michigan where she obtained her undergraduate degree. Her interest in all types of music has led to collaborations with Tally Hall, Michael Daugherty, Vladimir Feltsman, the National Repertory Orchestra, country singers, and heavy metal bands.  Rachel is the newly appointed cellist of the Baltimore-based SONAR New Music Ensemble.
Lydia Beasley

graduated Summa Cum Laude from Shenandoah Conservatory in May 2006 with a bachelor's in Music with Elective Studies in Psychology, as well as a vocal performance certificate.  In the summer after graduation, she attended Operafestival di Roma, where she was featured as the soprano soloist of Vivaldi's Gloria under the direction of Francesco Carotenuto.  She performed the roles of Sylviane in Die lustige Witwe and Prima Novizie in Suor Angelica at the same program. During the 2006-2007 school year, Lydia was employed as a voice teacher of sixteen students at Southern Virginia University, as well as the minister of music at Belmont Baptist Church. In January 2007, she performed the role of Adele in Opera Viva's production of Die Fledermaus.  In October, she performed the roles of Les Bergère and La Chouette in Peabody's production of Ravel's L'Enfant et les sortilèges. This spring she performed the role of Dana Perino in "Bush: The Last 100 Days", an original opera scene composed by Peabody student Chris Whittaker. Lydia is currently in the studio of Dr. Stanley Cornett.
 
  
Gregory Marsh

 Is a New Jersey native, started playing the clarinet when he was nine years old, and has been performing ever since. He received his Bachelor's of Music Degree in Music Education from The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) in May of 2007. For the duration of his undergraduate education, he was awarded the Hy Frank Memorial Music Scholarship for being "a well-rounded musician." He is currently a second year graduate student at The Peabody Institute of Music in Baltimore, Maryland, pursuing a Master's of Music Degree in Clarinet Performance. In his tenure at Peabody, he has already established himself as a principal player in the Wind Ensemble and Concert Orchestra, as well as an active participant in several chamber groups (including the LigetiSplit Ensemble) and composition/conducting recitals.
